Road had always been maintained by council. Why not anymore???

Dear  Editor,

my  property  in Cooroy  is  part  of  a  subdivision  done  by  a  councilor  named  Joy  in  the late  70,s  early 80,s

When  I  first  put  a  contract  on  my  property  in  1999  the  council  used  to  maintain  the  whole  road.

Now  the  council  says  they  should  not  have  approved  the  subdivision  or  the  road  and  so will  not  maintain  it even  though  the  first  200  meters  is  road  reserve   for  continuation  of  Holts  Rd  which shows  up  on  all   searches and  is  the  most  dangerous  part  of  road .{as  councillor  did  subdivision  you  would  think  they  would  wish  to  protect their  interest  and  liability]

Lew,Ray  and  Brian  were  emailed  but  all  they did  was  say  sorry  cannot  help  you  even  though  it  had  always  been  maintained  by  council  and   the  subdivision   had  been  done  by councilor  Joy

yours  faithfully

Mr  Tree Frog  Lane  Cooroy

Shame, council, shame

Shame. council, shame

How sad I am on reading the Noosa News. August 4.
Rezoning benefits factories. The urban footprint can be changed to assist these businesses, and I for one have no complaint with that, but cannot be changed to give the golf club development the same opportunity.

The Roberts brothers development is a much-needed first class opportunity for us Cooroy residents to have a five-star facility close to town.

But,no, the urban footprint can't be changed. Shame, council, shame.

Edwards
Cooroy

Welcome to Noosa Watch Dog

Noosa Watchdog com.au blog has only one goal, to watch over all kinds of decisions made by Council staff, working for the former Noosa Shire at Tewantin, Pelican Street.

Their employer has changed from Noosa Shire to Sunshine Coast Regional Council, although people living in the area of our former NSC are still dealing with the same Council staff.

As far as I am aware not much has changed at Pelican Street. Whether this is a good or a bad situation, it remains to be seen.

We all know there is always room to improve customer service. You can only improve something if you are aware of its shortcomings. Based on my experiences, I have reasonable doubts that in the past the customer has received the best service for his money. There is the following saying: "Every one is equal but some are more equal”. To find out if this is true, the Noosa Watchdog will make this theme his priority.

The Noosa Watchdog will continue to exist until all citizens experience transparent and absolutely fair treatment. The initiator of Noosa Watchdog has the full support of his well trained dog, but without YOU and your report, based on your specific experience, we can not implement recommendations to council to make alterations to their services.

The Noosa Watchdog will deliver the facts (of course with your support) and based on those facts the top administrators at Pelican Street will have the opportunity to make the right decision to improve their service.

Please remember, this is not a web site to bash our Council. Should you feel you are being unfairly or unprofessionally treated by a specific member of Council staff, quote his/her name, date and time plus a short description of your complaint. Our webmaster will not accept any foul language but at the same time he is not a wimp.

Please help to bring the power back to the citizen of the former NSC. Remember, we the citizens are not the servants of the bureaucrats. We pay them to work for us and not against us. Plenty of examples can be produced about this claim.

Should you be interested to bring the power back to the people of Maroochy and Caloundra, I will supply you with everything needed www.maroochywatchdog.com.au and www. caloundrawatchdog.com.au free of charge including the blog form.

We don't scratch only the surface,

We are keen to see what is below!
